Supplement label checks for Star, Isle of Anglesey
Check your supplement label before Trading Standards, a retailer or Amazon does. Reviews for Star brands, done online.
Star questions
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do you only work with Star businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Star deliveries go by tracked delivery to LL60.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Star?
Star is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What does the report look like?
A written, point-by-point report, with each item marked as fine, advised or must fix, plus suggested wording.
Is this the same as Trading Standards advice?
No. Trading Standards for Isle of Anglesey enforce labelling law; we give a practical second opinion before you print.
What the check covers for Star brands
Send your artwork or draft copy. We review it against the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, the food information rules and the GB nutrition and health claims register, and send back a written report with every point marked as fine, advised or must fix. We check labels designed and printed anywhere, not just our own. It’s a practical review, not legal advice. For assured advice, a Primary Authority partnership is the next step.

Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
