FAQs for Aughton
Who checks supplement labels in Wiltshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Wiltshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Aughton?
Aughton is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
Yes: resealable zips, tear notches, hang holes and clear windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
What’s the lead time for pouches to Aughton?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: your quote includes the lead time, then delivery to Aughton is usually the next working day after dispatch.
Printed pouches for Aughton brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Still testing a product? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells.
