FAQs for Bargoed
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Bargoed, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
What’s the minimum order for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch size and finish, and we quote them per design. For a small first run, use labels on stock pouches.
Do you offer recyclable pouches?
We offer mono-material pouches, designed for recycling where collection exists. Check the specification before you make any claim on pack.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Bargoed?
Bargoed is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you only work with Bargoed businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Bargoed orders go out by tracked delivery to CF81.
Printed pouches for Bargoed brands
Printed pouches look more premium than a labelled stock pouch and save the time of applying labels. Digital printing means short runs per design, so you don’t need to commit to tens of thousands of units. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches are all available, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and switch later.

Rules in Wales
Supplement labelling rules for Bargoed
Products you sell from Bargoed must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency in Wales. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
