FAQs for Clouston
Do I need to be based in Clouston to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Clouston deliveries go by tracked courier to KW16.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in matt, gloss or soft-touch.
How long do printed pouches take to reach Clouston?
Pouches take longer to make than labels: we confirm the lead time with your quote, then delivery to Clouston is usually two working days after dispatch.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Clouston?
Clouston is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Printed pouches for Clouston brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Not ready for a printed run? Begin with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Resealable zips, clear windows and tear notches can all be added, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.

Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Clouston
Products you sell from Clouston must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. In the Orkney Islands, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for the Orkney Islands.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
