Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Stubton
Supplements sold from Stubton must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Printed pouches for Stubton brands
When a product is selling steadily, a printed pouch is often the next step from labels. We print your design directly onto the pouch, with the same compliance check as our labels. Still testing a product? Start with labels on stock pouches and move to printed pouches once it sells. Zips, windows, tear notches and hang holes can all be added, with matt, gloss or soft-touch finishes.

Who enforces food labelling in Nottinghamshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Nottinghamshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Can pouches have a zip and window?
You can choose: zips, tear notches, hang holes and windows, in a matt, gloss or soft-touch finish.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
