Questions from Abercregan brands
How long does delivery to Abercregan take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Abercregan orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Abercregan?
Abercregan is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.

Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Abercregan
Any food supplement sold from Abercregan must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
