Babcary questions
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Babcary?
Babcary is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
When will my labels arrive in Babcary?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Babcary orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Who checks supplement labels in Somerset?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Somerset, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
