Questions from Barmouth brands
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Barmouth?
Barmouth is in Wales, so the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
When will my labels arrive in Barmouth?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Barmouth orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do I need to be based in Barmouth to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Barmouth orders go out by tracked courier to LL42.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.

Rules in Wales
Labelling law for supplements from Barmouth
Supplements sold from Barmouth must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. In Gwynedd, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Gwynedd.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
