Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Belmont
Supplements sold from Belmont must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Belmont deliveries go out by tracked courier to BL7.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Who enforces food labelling in Bolton?
