Questions from Beoley brands
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Beoley?
Beoley is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Is there a minimum order?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
How long does delivery to Beoley take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Beoley orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Beoley
Any food supplement sold from Beoley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Worcestershire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
