Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Billinghay
Supplements sold from Billinghay must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Billinghay brands
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Billinghay, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do I need to be based in Billinghay to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Billinghay orders go by tracked delivery to LN4.
