Questions from Bircotes brands
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Do I need to be based in Bircotes to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Bircotes deliveries go by tracked courier to DN11.
When will my labels arrive in Bircotes?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Bircotes orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Bircotes
Products you sell from Bircotes must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Doncaster.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
