FAQs for Blackhills
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Blackhills?
Blackhills is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How long does delivery to Blackhills take?
Usually two working days after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Blackhills orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
