Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Bolehill
Any food supplement sold from Bolehill must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
One label works across England, Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Bolehill
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Bolehill address, showing our materials and finishes.
How long does delivery to Bolehill take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Bolehill orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do you only work with Bolehill businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Bolehill orders go by tracked courier to DE4.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
