Bovey Tracey questions
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Do I need to be based in Bovey Tracey to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Bovey Tracey deliveries go out by tracked courier to TQ13.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
How long does delivery to Bovey Tracey take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Bovey Tracey orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.

Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Bovey Tracey
Any food supplement sold from Bovey Tracey must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
