Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Brilley
Products you sell from Brilley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Herefordshire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Brilley questions
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
How long does delivery to Brilley take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Brilley orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Brilley, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
