Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Broadley Fold
Products you sell from Broadley Fold must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Broadley Fold questions
Do you only work with Broadley Fold businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Broadley Fold deliveries go out by tracked courier to OL12.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Broadley Fold?
Broadley Fold is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
When will my labels arrive in Broadley Fold?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Broadley Fold orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
