Supplement labelling rules for Brownhills
Any food supplement sold from Brownhills must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Walsall.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Brownhills
Do you only work with Brownhills businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Brownhills orders go by tracked courier to WS8.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Brownhills, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
When will my labels arrive in Brownhills?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Brownhills orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
