Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Burham
Any food supplement sold from Burham must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

You don’t need a printer down the road. Send your artwork and we’ll check it, send a to-size proof within about a working day, and print once you approve it. We print digitally on PP, paper, clear or metallic stocks, finished in gloss, matt, soft-touch or foil, in runs from 250 labels. Once you approve the proof, we print in 3 to 5 working days and send your labels by tracked courier.

Burham questions
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do I need to be based in Burham to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Burham deliveries go out by tracked delivery to ME1.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Burham address, so you can feel the materials and finishes.
