Rules in Wales
Label rules that apply in Capel Seion
Products you sell from Capel Seion must meet the Food Supplements (Wales) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency in Wales. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers for Ceredigion.
Welsh-language text is optional on supplement labels. If you add it, both languages must be accurate and the mandatory text must still meet the 1.2 mm minimum x-height.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Capel Seion
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you only work with Capel Seion businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Capel Seion orders go out by tracked courier to SY23.
When will my labels arrive in Capel Seion?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Capel Seion orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Capel Seion, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
