Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Codicote
Supplements sold from Codicote must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Codicote
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
When will my labels arrive in Codicote?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Codicote orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Codicote?
Codicote is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do I need to be based in Codicote to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Codicote orders go out by tracked courier to SG4.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
