Questions from Combwich brands
Do I need to be based in Combwich to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Combwich orders go out by tracked delivery to TA5.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
When will my labels arrive in Combwich?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Combwich orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Combwich
Supplements sold from Combwich must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
