Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Crombie
Any food supplement sold from Crombie must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Fife.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

FAQs for Crombie
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Crombie address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
When will my labels arrive in Crombie?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Crombie orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Crombie?
Crombie is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do you only work with Crombie businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Crombie orders go by tracked delivery to KY12.
