Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Dordon
Any food supplement sold from Dordon must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Dordon brands
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you only work with Dordon businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Dordon orders go by tracked courier to B78.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Dordon?
Dordon is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How long does delivery to Dordon take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Dordon orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
