Common questions in Esprick
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Esprick?
Esprick is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
When will my labels arrive in Esprick?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Esprick orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.

Labelling law for supplements from Esprick
Any food supplement sold from Esprick must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In Lancashire, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
