Questions from Farnley Tyas brands
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Who enforces food labelling in Kirklees?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Kirklees, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do I need to be based in Farnley Tyas to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Farnley Tyas deliveries go by tracked courier to HD4.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Farnley Tyas?
Farnley Tyas is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
