Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Farthingstone
Supplements sold from Farthingstone must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Northamptonshire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Farthingstone
Do you send samples?
Yes. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Farthingstone address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can mix several designs in one order.
When will my labels arrive in Farthingstone?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Farthingstone orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you only work with Farthingstone businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Farthingstone orders go out by tracked delivery to NN12.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
