Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Fingringhoe
Supplements sold from Fingringhoe must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Fingringhoe brands
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Fingringhoe, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Who enforces food labelling in Essex?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Essex, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
How long does delivery to Fingringhoe take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Fingringhoe orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
