Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Fritchley
Products you sell from Fritchley must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In Derbyshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Derbyshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Fritchley
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
When will my labels arrive in Fritchley?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Fritchley orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Is there a minimum order?
There’s no fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Fritchley, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
