Supplement labelling rules for Griff
Products you sell from Griff must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Griff brands
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Griff, showing our materials and finishes.
Who enforces food labelling in Warwickshire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Warwickshire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do I need to be based in Griff to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Griff deliveries go out by tracked courier to CV10.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
