Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Heighington
Any food supplement sold from Heighington must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. In County Durham, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team for County Durham.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

FAQs for Heighington
Do I need to be based in Heighington to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Heighington orders go by tracked courier to DL5.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
