Hilgay questions
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Hilgay?
Hilgay is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, together with the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Do I need to be based in Hilgay to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Hilgay orders go by tracked delivery to PE38.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Who checks supplement labels in Norfolk?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Norfolk, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Is there a minimum order?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
