Questions from Hilton brands
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
When will my labels arrive in Hilton?
Usually two working days after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Hilton orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Hilton?
Hilton is in Scotland, so the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims have to come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
Who enforces food labelling in Highland?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Highland, with national oversight from Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.

Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
