Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Lutton Gowts
Any food supplement sold from Lutton Gowts must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Lincolnshire.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Lutton Gowts
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Lutton Gowts, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
What label suits a powder tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
When will my labels arrive in Lutton Gowts?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Lutton Gowts orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
