FAQs for Maddiston
Is there a minimum order?
There’s no fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
When will my labels arrive in Maddiston?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most Maddiston orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you only work with Maddiston businesses?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Maddiston deliveries go out by tracked delivery to FK2.

Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Maddiston
Supplements sold from Maddiston must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
