Rules in England
Supplement labelling rules for Maisemore
Any food supplement sold from Maisemore must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Maisemore questions
Do you only work with Maisemore businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Maisemore deliveries go by tracked courier to GL2.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
When will my labels arrive in Maisemore?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Maisemore orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Who enforces food labelling in Gloucestershire?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Gloucestershire, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
