Mappowder questions
Is there a minimum order?
There’s no fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
How long does delivery to Mappowder take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Mappowder orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Mappowder
Products you sell from Mappowder must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
