Rules in Scotland
Supplement labelling rules for Miltown
Products you sell from Miltown must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Miltown
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Miltown address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can mix several designs in one order.
How long does delivery to Miltown take?
Usually two working days after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Miltown orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do I need to be based in Miltown to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Miltown deliveries go out by tracked delivery to IV54.
