Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from New Hythe
Products you sell from New Hythe must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in New Hythe
Who enforces food labelling in Kent?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Kent, with national oversight from the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, consider a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your New Hythe address, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
Do I need to be based in New Hythe to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. New Hythe orders go by tracked courier to ME20.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.

Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
