Common questions in New Town
Who enforces food labelling in Somerset?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Somerset, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so there’s no need for a coder on short runs.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
Laminated white PP. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from New Town?
New Town is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, as well as the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
How long does delivery to New Town take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so most New Town orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
