Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Onibury
Products you sell from Onibury must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by the local authority’s trading standards or environmental health officers.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, because the supplement rules match across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Onibury questions
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Onibury, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
When will my labels arrive in Onibury?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Onibury orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do I need to be based in Onibury to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Onibury deliveries go by tracked courier to SY7.
