Common questions in Rough Knarr
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do you send samples?
Yes. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Rough Knarr address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
Who checks supplement labels in Oldham?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Oldham, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
