FAQs for Russland
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Variable data printing adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
When will my labels arrive in Russland?
Usually two working days after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Russland orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Who checks supplement labels in the Orkney Islands?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for the Orkney Islands, overseen nationally by Food Standards Scotland. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.

Rules in Scotland
Label rules that apply in Russland
Supplements sold from Russland must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of Food Standards Scotland. At a local level, food labelling is enforced by the council’s trading standards or environmental health team.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
