Rules in England
Labelling law for supplements from Sarratt
Any food supplement sold from Sarratt must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, regulated nationally by the Food Standards Agency. In Hertfordshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
You can sell the same label in Scotland and Wales, as Great Britain shares one set of supplement rules.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Sarratt brands
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
Do you only work with Sarratt businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Sarratt deliveries go out by tracked delivery to WD3.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll check the label for each market.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
When will my labels arrive in Sarratt?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so the majority of Sarratt orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
