Sawdon questions
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a different batch and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
How long does delivery to Sawdon take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. We print in 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Sawdon orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll check the label for each market.
Do I need to be based in Sawdon to order?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so your location doesn’t matter. Sawdon deliveries go out by tracked delivery to YO13.
Rules in England
Label rules that apply in Sawdon
Products you sell from Sawdon must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, overseen by the Food Standards Agency. In North Yorkshire, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for North Yorkshire.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Begin with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.
