Questions from Slaithwaite brands
Who enforces food labelling in Kirklees?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Kirklees, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
How long does delivery to Slaithwaite take?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days after you approve the proof, so most Slaithwaite orders arrive within about a week of sending artwork.
Do you send samples?
Yes, we can. Ask for a sample pack and we’ll send it to you in Slaithwaite, so you can feel the materials and finishes before you order.
