Questions from Smethwick brands
Do I need to be based in Smethwick to order?
No. We take orders online from anywhere in the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Smethwick orders go by tracked courier to B66.
What’s the smallest run you print?
There’s no fixed minimum. Short runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can combine several designs in one order.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Smethwick?
Smethwick is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 apply, together with the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so health claims must be on the EU register and the address must be in NI or the EU. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
Do you add batch numbers and best-before dates?
Yes. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
