Any food supplement sold from Thurlestone must meet the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003, under the oversight of the Food Standards Agency. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff.
The same label can be sold in Scotland and Wales, since the supplement rules are the same across Great Britain.
Start with our label requirements checklist, then review your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Common questions in Thurlestone
Who enforces food labelling in Devon?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Devon, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
When will my labels arrive in Thurlestone?
Usually the next working day after dispatch. Printing takes 3 to 5 working days from proof approval, so the majority of Thurlestone orders arrive about a week after you send artwork.
Do you check labels for Northern Ireland as well as Great Britain?
We check against both sets of rules. Northern Ireland follows EU food law, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Tell us where you sell and we’ll cover both.
Can I see a sample before ordering?
Yes, we can. Request a sample pack and we’ll post it to your Thurlestone address, showing our materials and finishes before you order.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
