Questions from Waddesdon brands
Who enforces food labelling in Buckinghamshire?
Food labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Buckinghamshire, overseen nationally by the Food Standards Agency. If you want assured advice, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Which material is best for a protein tub?
White polypropylene with a laminate. It copes with powder, moisture and handling, and doesn’t lift on a curved tub.
What’s the smallest run you print?
No fixed minimum. Small runs from 250 labels are common for new products, and you can mix several designs in one order.
Which labelling rules apply to supplements sold from Waddesdon?
Waddesdon is in England, so the Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003 cover your label, alongside the general food information rules. Health claims must come from the GB nutrition and health claims register.
What if I sell in Northern Ireland too?
We can check for both. EU food law applies in Northern Ireland, so claims must come from the EU register and the address must work for that market. Let us know where your products go and we’ll cover both.
