Supplement labelling rules for Westquarter
Products you sell from Westquarter must meet the Food Supplements (Scotland) Regulations 2003, overseen by Food Standards Scotland. Locally, food labelling is enforced by council trading standards or environmental health staff for Falkirk.
Scotland has its own food regulator, but the supplement labelling rules match England and Wales, so one label works across Great Britain.
A good first step is our label requirements checklist, and then check your health claims, %NRV figures and nutrient guides.

Questions from Westquarter brands
Can you print batch codes and dates?
We can. Our digital press adds a batch code and date to each run, so you don’t need a separate coder for short runs.
What label suits a powder tub?
Laminated white PP. It stands up to powder, moisture and handling, and stays put on curved plastic.
Who enforces food labelling in Falkirk?
Supplement labelling is enforced by the local council’s trading standards or environmental health team for Falkirk, overseen nationally by Food Standards Scotland. For advice councils must respect, you can set up a Primary Authority partnership with a council.
Do you only work with Westquarter businesses?
No. We work online and deliver across the UK, so it makes no difference where you’re based. Westquarter orders go by tracked delivery to FK2.
Is there a minimum order?
No fixed minimum. Many new brands start with 250 labels, and you can combine several designs in one order.
